Terms of Service

The fine print, without the fine print.

Last updated · May 2026

By creating an account on Cortex, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service — we'd rather you skip it than be unhappy.

01Agreement

You're in, if you sign in.

Creating an account on Cortex means you accept these terms in full. They apply to every workspace, every user, and every interaction with the platform. If anything here doesn't sit right with you, the answer is simple — don't proceed.

02What we provide

An all-in-one business operations platform.

Cortex is a cloud-based system covering HR, payroll, attendance, finance, project management, document storage, and more. We host it. We maintain it. You run your business on it.

03Your account

One person, one login, kept private.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Each account is intended for a single person — no shared logins. When you sign up, give us accurate information; it keeps your workspace clean and your billing correct.

04Acceptable use

Use Cortex like you'd use any tool you respect.

Don't share accounts, attempt to compromise the system, reverse-engineer the platform, or use Cortex for anything illegal. Misuse ends in account suspension — no warnings, no exceptions.

05Payments

Monthly billing, automatic renewals.

Paid plans are billed monthly and renew automatically until cancelled. All prices are listed openly on our website — what you see is what you pay. No hidden fees, no per-seat surprises.

06Cancellation

Leave whenever you'd like.

You can cancel at any time. Your access continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for, and we won't charge you again after that.

07Your data

It's yours. It will always be yours.

Your data belongs to you. We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to advertisers. You can request a full export or a complete deletion at any time, and we'll do it.

08Uptime

We aim for 99% — and tell you when we won't.

Cortex targets 99% uptime. When planned maintenance is required, we'll let you know in advance whenever it's possible to do so.

09Limitation of liability

The honest disclaimer.

Cortex is not liable for indirect losses or business disruption caused by using — or being unable to use — the service. We work hard to keep things reliable, but software is software, and we want to be upfront about that.

10Changes

Updates, with a week's notice.

We may revise these terms over time. For any major changes, you'll receive an email at least 7 days in advance so nothing catches you off guard.
